Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
4.0

The first shocker was that the movie was nothing like the book. Absolutely nothing. But, weirdly, I liked the book and the movie equally because the essence in both stayed the same. A common enough problem faced by a majority of people (especially me) dealt in a very funny way. What's not to like?
(Oh, and by common, I mean the getting addicted to something part, not the being buried in a ton of debt aspect)

I loved the snarky humor and the heroine Becky was balanced on a very thin line between endearing and annoying, but managed never to cross over, giving a pleasant, bumbling feel to the book. The romance part was so out-of-the-world, that it was almost believable.

All in all, It was a nice pick-me-up, that got me through a stressful couple of days!
