New Lease of Life by Lillian Francis

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
It features a cameo from a character from Stuff by Josephine Myles (completely coincidentally, btw, I did not seek it out because of my recent re-read, lol.) But in the first few chapters, one MC takes the other MC's mobility aid (a crutch) and leaves him a cane in its place, like . . . to motivate him to work on his recovery, I think? But . . . that's not how you do that? So, I don't know how that can be redeemed, and it's a hoopla read, so I'm not out anything by giving up on it.
