Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston
3.0
a fun time, but not very suspensful ( it was veeeeery easy to guess the 'plot twist')
the writing wasn't very special, and i would've liked more detailed descriptions of the magical world Amari finds herself in
It was very cliché, and the characters didn't really make up for that. they where all so one dimensional and i felt like i didn't get to know them at all througout the course of the book. the only interesting character to me was January and she only had like 4 lines.
HowEVER it was still enjoyable to read and i am curious to see how the author will expand the worldbuilding and magic in the next book :)
