This was a read, I preordered this book and it arrived 13 days before it was released (thank you very much Waterstones). So I loved the first book, it had the atmosphere, it was creepy and it genuinely gave me chills and freaked me out.
While this book doesn't hold that in the same regard - and for me has taken a few steps away from the gothic horror that the first one laid down, it is still a good read. I still love and adore the characters just as much (plus a few new people to meet) and the story and writing are extremely enjoyable.
That being said, it did not take the turn I thought it would take, the build-up was good but still somewhat strangely lacking. I did hope it would kind of continue the story from the first book, it is still a very good read ( )
I wouldn't mind a third or a fourth book to be made though, as I know I would still genuinely love to read this as a series.

ghost/mystery story. Though I did think it would go down the werewolf route as it made a few comments about them.I wouldn't mind a third or a fourth book to be made though, as I know I would still genuinely love to read this as a series.
