The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove by Christopher Moore
4.0

This is my 4th Moore book, and I enjoyed it almost as much as the previous three. I say 'almost' because, while it is a very good book, I didn't find it to be as laugh-out-loud funny as some of his others. No worries though. 'The Lust Lizard...' is filled with just the type of characters that we've come to expect and love from Mr. Moore. The pot-head slacker Constable...the washed-up 'crazy' B movie actress...the bitchy half-bionic bar keep...a blues singer from the bayou who's 'got the blues on him'...the materialistic town psychiatrist who tries to make her wrongs right...and a whole bunch more who are just as screwed up.

I definitely recommend this if you're at all interested. However, if this is your first trip through a Christopher Moore book, I don't know that I'd recommend starting here. You may want to try 'The Sequined Love Nun', or 'The Stupidest Angel'. Those two are hilarious. Of course, you can always start here too...I just found it to be a bit more subdued in its humor. Overall, I just LOVE Mr. Moore, and can't wait to start my next book of his. I think I'm gonna go with 'Lamb' this time around. I know I won't be disappointed!
