I found out this novella inspired Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin! Makes sense! Despite this story being short and pretty fast-paced, a lot of character development is packed in. The characters felt flawed and awful only in the way real people can be. Cool as hell. I almost wish it was longer, but I was incredibly satisfied with the story as is.
