I'll be honest here, I only picked this book up on audio because I was only browsing through Libby to find what I could listen to and I decided to read this in a saved tag since it was available. And oh my gosh am I glad I did! I didn't or haven't seen much hype for this book and yet I went into it as just another book and one I was in the mood for and expecting it to be maybe a 3-4 star. The more I went through it the more I was actually rooting for Jack and the rest of the seasons he was associated with in his region: Fleur (Spring), Amber (Fall), and Julio (Summer). Jack being a winter was pretty great to have that name but the last name, Sommers, was a bit ironic. However, Jack Sommers is my new book boyfriend and bad-A character!

The premise of this was actually one I enjoyed surprisingly and even more so with the Greek Mythology mix which depending on the story I'm a sucker for some good old Greek Mythology like stories; and this even had some Persephone (being spring) and Hades (Winter) vibes going on between Fleur and Jack. Their story was amazing for me and one I couldn't stop listening and/or following along in the actual book from the library and I became so invested in it. So invested that I was pissed off with a few character deaths even though I should have seen some coming! I just wasn't prepared for a few of them! *crying internally* It was pretty violent at some parts, there is language (not as bad) for someone who might not like a lot of cussing, and the sex scenes are IMPLIED by the way. So no major detail or anything. It's pretty PG/PG-13. Overall, as a story and world building I absolutely loved this book and would in fact highly recommend it!

Fair warning: this is DEFINITELY one of those books where you're either going to love/enjoy it or you're not. I personally loved it and now I'm excited for the next and final book that's coming out next month on the 8th! So if you want a great summer read (no pun intended *wink*) with a bit of Greek Mythology in it, a story about finding courage and taking leaps of faith and persevering in tough situations or just a fun action/adventure Greek Mythology modern day twist about the 4 seasons, then this is the book for you!
