There was a lot of hype surrounding this book, and it is a good summary of common psychological facts, but is is by no means as groundbreaking as the hype would lead you to believe. Nevertheless it is a good summary of a number of decades of research and does have some interesting insights.

I would recommend it if you have no existing knowledge on the subject.
