i’m done! i’m finally done! i binged this entire series in about 2 months time and it was worth it! part of me is sad to let these characters go, knowing i won’t be able to read them again for the first time. i enjoyed this series more than i thought i would and i can’t wait to finally watch the movies. onto the book itself: i enjoyed the mystery of finding the horcruxes and how tense it was to be traveling alone for them. hermione is the best and truly deserved the world. some parts were rather anticlimactic but it was still enjoyable! percy showing up made me cry and him laying over fred’s body hurt. tbh if percy died for his family it would’ve been more impactful than fred dying imo. also harry is a parent now??? but in the epilogue he never has custody of teddy?? does godparentship work different in the uk? speaking of the epilogue, ALBUS SEVERUS????? what kind of name is that?? i’m all for naming your kid after important people but not the two men who tried to sacrifice you and add you to a child army! “oh but snape loved my mom so i’ve forgiven his CHILD ABUSE!” what the fuck harry?! he is a white supremacist of the wizarding world and idk about you but to me, being a white supremacist is an unforgivable thing even if you are “reformed”. also draco’s kid Scorpius?? that’s the second worst name i’ve ever heard. neville being the herbology teacher is absolutely adorable and i love that for him! i really appreciate that hagrid was kept alive he was my favorite character in this whole series and if he had died i would’ve burned my series.
