I genuinely loved this book. Reading it long after it was set provided a fascinating insight into the 70's predictions of the 80's and beyond, and aome the technology conceptualised seemed like an AU version of what we actually got.
This book walked so that Axiom's End could run (though given the choice, I'd rather have David Bowie take over the world than Ampersand).
The end broke my heart in the same way the end of 1984 does.
