I absolutely fell hard in love with the first book in this trilogy, Mad. Alvie really stole the show in the first book. Not that she didn't in this book as she was mainly the only lead character in this book. Alvie still brought the "attitude" with a dash of "sass". This is what I love about her. She could be crude and sweet at the same time.

Yet, as much as I did like this book; I did not love it as I did the first one. It was missing some of the "magic" from the first book. I found the distance between the times that I would laugh longer and longer. Although, there are still things that I enjoyed about this book. Let's see if Alvie can avoid coming in contact with a dead body in the final book in this trilogy.

I read a comment by a reader that they thought this book was over the top. That is what makes this book and the prior one great. The over the top antics. I mean, look at writer Joan Collins. There is nothing wrong with being "cheesy". I say bring it on. This book is "bad" for your health as it will have you disappearing form the real world for hours.
