The Proposal by Katie Ashley
2.0
Ok. OKAY.
Everyone rushing to help Aidan after HE cheated? Absolutely not.
Everyone acting like Aidan is not a grown ass adult who created problems that he apparently can’t solve alone? Absolutely not.
Telling Emma that she needs to just get over the whole cheating thing cause ‘oh no poor bb Aidan is so sad and depressed and is drinking so much and blah blah blah only you can fix him’? KILL. ME. DEAD.
Now let’s skip.
The whole Pesh thing was so weird. Put aside the total lack of ethics (I mean… he took her number from Aidan’s dad¿?¿ it’s fucking weird) and then these pseudo non-date things. Then they basically make out on their last date but then decide ‘actually, yes but no’ and Emma immediately goes in and decides to *get down* with Aidan?? WHAT. IS. HAPPENING.
I was over this book when it got to Casey and Nate’s wedding. Which is a whole other situation. Were we supposed to care about these characters? Casey, Nate and Connor would just pop in and then disappear out of nowhere just to pop in again like 50+ pages later. Odd… but at least it was consistent with their appearances in the first book, I guess.
Now, the ‘Big Papa’ stuff. GAG.
It was fun as a teasing sort of nickname but then it became pretty constant and it was beyond cringey when Casey was consistently referring to him as Big Papa.
Anyway… after Emma sang at the wedding, I skimmed the remainder of the book. And that’s my review lol.
