This Is Our Story by Ashley Elston

This is a great choice for readers who love April Henry's mysteries. In small town Louisiana, Kate Marino works as an intern for an aging and nearly blind district attorney who has just been handed the case of a lifetime. Four rich, tight-knit friends are suspects in the murder of a fifth boy, Grant, who was killed with his own gun. Grant died when he and friends, named, "The River Point Boys," were hunting on family property in the early morning hours following a raucous party. None of the boys is willing to admit guilt or implicate each other in Grant's death. Kate is especially interested in justice for Grant because they had been exchanging flirty texts before he died. As she delves deeper into the case, however, she realizes many things are not as they seem, most shockingly that Grant's death may have been intentional.

This book had a great spooky feel and lots of twists and turns. It wasn't predictable, and I think it will circulate frequently in our library. It's important to note that this author also wrote "The Rules for Disappearing" and "The Rules for Breaking." I hope she's already writing her next one!
