Really creepy, I liked the all the subtle 'coincidences' that happened througout the story. It mostly followed the path of one character who was very solitary throughout the book, so I felt sometimes it dragged a little when we were just stuck in the character's own head.

I'd also encourage you to make sure you've read 'The Haunter of the Dark' by Lovecraft, as the book builds on some of the elements from there.

I also felt like part of the ending was a little too jarring -
the character is young, only 23, and she is so focused on the relationship with her own family throughout the story, it seemed so weird for her to suddenly be thrust into motherhood in the space of only one page when her feelings about being a mother herself didn't have a drop of attention earlier.
