In Every Mirror She's Black by Lọlá Ákínmádé Åkerström

Did not finish book. Stopped at 200%.
the effort that is put into making the white man with generational wealth 'the good guy' is nauseating...i am half way into the book and i don't see any shift happening and everyone in the book who is pointing out that he is a fetishizer, are characters that are the ppl who's opinion can be dismissed easily as being bias, which makes me think that the author might actually think white ppl fetishizing Black ppl is fine? and don't even get me started about the fact that his generational wealth is not problemtissd, the fact that the author decided to center this white man as the thing that connects the three Black women, the fact that she decided to write him as being on the spectrum, to justify his terrible behaviour.

this has white liberal written all over it, which is why i don't think there will be a radical shift where this white man would be exposed for being a racist fetishizer with generational wealth that comes from exploitation.

if you read this book and this will actually happen later in the book. let me know and i will pick it back up lol
