I simply did not like this. I liked the writing style and I love the show. However, the plot was mediocre, the romance which was a huge part of the plot was terrible and unable and I just could not find myself enjoying this book. I pushed through this cringing the entire time.
Elena was bratty and I understand why Stefan as originally intrigued by him but for them to fall head over heels for each other is just wrong. She didn't question Stefan once this entire book and used Matt like he was nothing.
I was going to read the second book and I still might just because I want to see what happens next but idk if I can power through that one like I did this one.
