Cry of Metal & Bone by L. Penelope

4.0

The third book in the Earthsinger series, Cry of Metal & Bone is another riveting fantasy romance sure to keep your attention hooked and your pages turning. Darvyn, Kyara, Jasminda, and Jack are all back, as well as some familiar faces in Tai and Lizvette. The tension between them might be a little high-strung when they first meet, but it quickly settles into something passionate and comforting at the same time.

And they are quickly off on an adventure to the mysterious lands of Yaly, where dangerous plots are afoot. Lizvette's traitorous father is in hiding, and rooting him out is her only chance to clear her name. And Tai is on a secret mission from the Goddess Awoken to rescue Jasminda's still living family. Lizvette is both fragile and brave, and Tai is both strong and soft, and it is their differences that make them fit so well together.

If you haven't read the novellas that are set between the main novels of the series yet, don't miss them, by the way! They add so much more to the story, and introduce important characters. I don't think I would have been nearly so invested in this book right from the start if I hadn't already read Hush of Storm & Sorrow. I can't wait to read the finale to this series, and see just what the war between the Three Worlds will bring us!
