I was super nervous before starting this book, largely because I had already read Beautiful Bastard by this writing duo and found it just okay, but Roomies was exactly what I wanted and, as a pleasant surprise, exactly what I needed. NYC craziness, Broadway musicals (I really wish the fictional musical they've created here actually existed because man, I would certainly pay for that soundtrack and/or tickets), adorable romance, Irish accents, duping the government, some hilarity, and a smidge of coming-of-age goodness? You can't get any better.
