I think this was my least favorite book of the series, mostly because the ending felt lack luster. Over the 600+ pages, Linden Lewis went into great detail for each character's perspectives. It created this rich tapestry of thoughts, ideas, plans, and themes. Lewis has done this beautifully in the other books of this series, so I was excited to see that continue. This all worked well to build to a intense crescendo, which is where this novel fell off. For all the complexity the ending felt painful simple. There were no real consequences,
I mean no one of importance even died,
which makes no sense in regards to all the wild things that happen throughout this novel. Lewis who was so focused on nuisance kind of flopped at the end. That said I am glad I read the series as I deeply loved all the characters and the casual gayness of it all. The world was fascinating and I would love to revisit it again. I would recommend this series for anyone looking for some gay sci-fi, but I don't think this will go down as one of my favorite series.
