Daring Duplicity by Edale Lane

4.0

4 stars. This was absolutely delightful. I loved the writing of this and the setting of England during the Victorian era. It was very well done and atmospheric. The main character, Stetson, is an actress and detective and she is such an interesting and awesome character. She runs a detective agency but she dresses as a man, Xavier Wellington, to be able to solve the cases and it absolutely fascinating. She goes in disguise as a bunch of different characters and it was fun. She’s great at her job.

There are five mysteries in this and they are all great reads. I also appreciated the subtle romance between Stetson and Evelyn. They were adorable together. Overall, this was such a fun read and I really hope there will be more books coming soon.
