To Raise a Boy: Classrooms, Locker Rooms, Bedrooms, and the Hidden Struggles of American Boyhood by Emma Brown

5.0

Very insightful, well researched book about modern masculinity and what boyhood in America looks like. I loved her interviews and how the people she spoke with came alive off the page. Meeting these real people, hearing their stories helps to humanize the issues. This reminded me of Peggy Orienstein’s book Boys and Sex.
