Not the worst Stephen King I've read but not close to his usual threshold, in my opinion. I will say that the premise is a solid one and the book itself is compulsively readable. I devoured in chunks in just a few sittings, so it definitely has that going for it. And the mention of the Subaudible was nice, as was the eerieness of the particular antagonistic force that was introduced. Still, I struggled with Trisha as a main character (she suffers from that King tendency of writing children who think and act a lot older than the average kid their stated ages,) and it really stretched my suspension of disbelief thin.
