Paper Ghosts by Julia Heaberlin
4.0

Probably less than 4, but I round up, and the narrator of the audio version was in any case very good. The plot weakens in the middle section, but the reader is still given a good road trip, and the big skies of Texas. The potential of the premise is squandered - so no great existential conversations, no journals to Paris or Ithaca - but nonetheless a solid thriller.
