There was a lot to love in this dark romance, I definitely enjoyed the read overall. I did think that the moving around made the setting outside of the Cirque seem repetitive, though that could be intentional due to some themes of the Cirque vs Everyone Else. I did really wish some of the higher action parts and descriptive emotional scenes were expanded upon later in the book. I felt that as the action picked up it became difficult to flow emotionally between everything, if that makes sense? I really loved a lot of the points made in the narrative, and though it does get very dark on page, I appreciate the lack of hesitancy to embrace all of it, even some finer things were given recognition on page which I always appreciate.
