The Borgias and Their Enemies: 1431-1519 by Christopher Hibbert

4.0

This is a very good overview and full of interesting, entertaining and sometimes repulsive anecdotes that capture the essence of those cruel, barbaric but often romantic times mixing murder most foul with the exquisite art of the renaissance. If you're interested in Italy or this period of history then this is well worth a read.
