I was really looking forward to this book but unfortunately it was a little underwhelming. I had a good time reading it and the story moved along in a really interesting way but I was left feeling disappointed with the overall book.
It felt a little juvenile, too simple for the themes the author wanted to tackle. This read more like a YA novel then an adult fiction book. With the themes of working in the entertainment industry and it’s seedier side, drugs, alcohol, growing up everything felt very watered down.
This book should have also been told from Summers POV or if they were going for Daisy Jones and the Six, interview style. Having Kat as the main voice felt very off for this book especially because this felt more like Summers story. Even as Kat was the main character im the book she was more of a secondary character.
Overall their was a lot missing that could have been explored and the ending was way too rushed especially between Summer and Noah.
