I actually cannot put into words how much this book has changed my life but I will say it’s oddly fitting that I sat in my garden reading this everyday while I watched a dead mouse decompose until it was just a ball of fluff on the ground while the little birds (who looked exactly like the painting to me but were probably sparrows or something) flew around above me
