What a ride! Delving into your child's dreams to retrieve their consciousness was a lot darker than I thought it would be. It had its peaks and valleys, and absolutely moved the reader through the action scenes. I was hoping for a little more character depth for the parents, as their motivations felt a little one note (the hyperfocus was understandable). It was hard to see those characters beyond their 2 or 3 driving traits. Hoping things continue to unfurl as the series continues!
