Gosh this his book had me in tears. Whereas the first book, If He Had Been with Me, is a story about grieving and yearning for love that could have been, If Only I Had Told Her is about grieving the love that did exist. I would suggest reading them in order and back-to-back right away not only so that the story is fresh in your mind, but so that you can immerse yourself in the story and incorporate yourself into the characters minds and go through the emotions with them.
