After reading the Novela āSalt in the Woundl, this book was definitely unexpected. You meet our new MMC Tristian. Heās very kind and uncomplicated. He gets hired as Markās new bodyguard and they end up starting a physical relationship. This book was heavy on the MM love. So if thatās not your thing, I would maybe skip this series. But it is very well written and I enjoyed it a lot. The majority of this book is just Tristian and Mark building their relationship. He does not even know that Mark is actually engaged to Isolde. And when he finds out, itās pretty heartbreaking. Mark sends Tristian to pick up his wife and bring her to him on like a two week long yacht trip. Of course Tristian and Isolde end up falling for each other and having a physical relationship also. Despite the fact that there are cameras on the yacht that Tristian didnāt even know about. It seems as though Mark does not realize that they have been together. This was kind of weird and confusing to me with the story because Mark seems to know everything and be really on top of everything and have all the information all the time. So this giant plot hole is just kind of weird to me. But again this book is so well written that you just kind of have faith that itās going to come full circle at some point. Mark and Isolde donāt even see each other until the very end of this book. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but it does feel like a giant prologue for the next book, which Iām very interested in now to see how all three of them sort of get along together. I feel like obviously theyāre going to end up all together and it is a little bit annoying that itās just taking so many pages. But Iām excited to see where it goes.
