This book is the type of historical fiction book about WWII that always knows how to tear your heart apart. When I read this book, I just want to smack my head against the wall.

This book has been extremely well-researched and is filled with vivid historical information and an emotional roller coaster that will undoubtedly cause some tears to cry. The characterization, scenery, and plot were all perfectly executed in this heart-wrenchingly, well-written book with two equally captivating timelines. ( narratives in the past and the presence of two women in different lifetimes. )
