The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

5.0

I adore this book. The characters are real. They have ambition. They have flaws. Most importantly, they represent the divide between: men and women; God and Goddess; good and evil; duty and ambition. Marion Zimmer Bradley conflates all of the Arthur myths into one, creating a unique and very real interpretation of a much debated and beloved myth.
