Crookedstar's Promise was the only book I ever read multiple times as a kid and I see why. Following poor little Crookedkit in his desperate quest to prove himself to his clan and to his 'Starclan' mentor. Every time Rainflower showed disapproval of him it hurt terribly to read. I just wanted to scoop Crookedkit up and hug him. Crookedstar is one of my favourite characters in the Warriors series and his super edition is one of the best.

Unlike Tallstar's revenge the end of this book didn't feel as rushed which was nice.
For those who have read the Omen of the Stars series and this book, I know you share my frustration in the final book with the fact Crookedstar and Mapleshade never face off again which was a big missed opportunity (and still angers me to this day but maybe when I read through that series again my mind will be changed... doubt it though)
