The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, Otto H. Frank, Mirjam Pressler
5.0

Just finished this book today. I think it'll change my life forever. I've never felt so impacted by a book before. She was so incredibly smart, with a love for mythology, learning languages, reading about religion etc... She was so candid about her hatred for her mother, which reminded me of my own teenage years. I felt what she felt, and frequently recalled her age. She was so witty, and honest. Her childlike curiosity about love contradicted her introspective outlook on life. The last line where it simply stated that Anne's diary ended. The last entry in her diary, a sentence about 14 lines long. The last few words, "... and keep trying to find a way to become what I'd like to be and what I could be if...if only there were no other people in the world."

Oh Anne. You will always be one of the greatest writers.
