Amphigorey Again by Edward Gorey
4.0
Another great collection of Edward Gorey's works, and the only one I was missing. I owned a few of the stories as stand alone books, but the rest I hadn't seen before. Glad to have it my collection!
This one is more child friendly than previous anthologies, with no sexy stories (like the Pornographic Sofa) or grisly murders (like Gashlycrumb Tinies). There is a series of plates about murderesses but only the text was graphic.
The collection is a lot more scattered, and feels like odds and ends that didn't make it into the other books. If you're not a collector or huge fan of Gorey this might not be the best one to read first.
Overall, I adore his work as always!
