Oh man, it pains me to rate it this because I loved this book for the first 45%. I was SO intrigued and could not put it down. It reminded me of the paranormal romance (specifically Evermore gahhh) I read in high school and just felt so fresh and original. I genuinely felt like a pubescent rush reading the first half because I had no idea where the story was going and it felt SO promising with all the mystery. I sludged through the last half wishing for a better story specifically in regards to Sela. And I was disappointed in how it wrapped in a bow VERY quickly. I’m a powerful badass immortal witch from another planet that gets dicked down good with my god like husband but i’m unsatisfied because i am NOTHING if i am not a mother. I also just sorta hate that they’re from a different planet because my 13 year old self was rooting for him actually being a demon or angel but hey at least we get some monster romance in the end
