Not for me. Lacked a coherent structure and often felt as if the poet kept distracting herself from whatever subject she started with. Although funny enough, I like the less straightforward poems. But the ones that basically boiled down to “I love my husband/lover and we made/will make a home together” felt a bit underbaked to me, as harsh as that feels to type. These aren’t bad poems, per se, but I think they’re just lost on me.
There’s some interesting metaphors in here, but often it felt like the poems were too precious or too pithy to say more than what they had to say on the surface.
