This is a story about a human. Her name was Hannah. She found the third volume of The Wandering Inn to be quite gory, grotesque and rather disturbing. So much killing. So much blood. And, by far worst of all… so much cannibalism. Yuck. I don’t ever want to read about that particular subject again.

This volume was fine until the “monster” started showing up. Then I was just totally grossed out for several chapters (and the chapters are loooong!). The goblins also aren’t incredibly hygienic. I’ve never been a fan of the undead/zombie trope either; not at all. So while it was partly a good continuation of the world and its story, this volume wasn’t for me. Hopefully the next one will be less gory or else I might have to drop the series. Now back to the charm of the first couple volumes, I hope?
