We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman
4.0

I want to live in Catherine Newman’s world, where everyone is a quirky, intelligent delight and even deep sadness is accompanied by glittering joy. This novel frustrated me for its lack of jerks and real-life challenges (other than the whole dying-best-friend situation), as well as for the unrelenting delightful quirkiness. At the same time, it says something beautiful and true about death and friendship and love and loss.
