Rarely I read a book this fast, rarely does a book touch and stir something an me like this book. Did I cry at the end? Most certainly. While this is a fictional story, it tells the real history of queer people in the 2nd half of the 20th century. Whenever you read about the home they create for each other, how much they love each other on a soul level, on a kinship level, how much they all fit and belong together, even if does not always work out well or has a happy end, you know what follows and preceeded it is/was pure agony. I want to hug everybody. This is a story of love, of anger, of suffering, of development, and it is a tough read (which is why I gotta warn you about (tw) rape/sa, suicide, violence, in case you want to read this too), but worth it.
