Rocannon's World by Ursula K. Le Guin
3.0
Not a great story, really-- I felt it very hard to care about any of these characters and pinning down the main character's personality was hard. The "sacrifice" especially felt cheap, because I don't feel like the narrative earned that emotional beat.
However, the description was very evocative and I loved the worldbuilding. I'm going to have nightmares about the insect people.
