Buddha's Brain: The Practical Neuroscience of Happiness, Love, and Wisdom by Jack Kornfield, Richard Mendius, Daniel J. Siegel, Rick Hanson

5.0

I had to read this book for a graduate school class on integrative counseling techniques. What a wonderful, and far more useful alternative to a text book. This book includes brain research and explains specifically how meditation can help remap our brains. I have used many of the suggested techniques for me, with my clients, and have recommended this as reading to a few of my clients as well. I find this useful for anyone trying to better understand how their brain works, why they react to life situations as they do, and anyone looking for a way to have calmer and more effective responses to life stressors.
