Well and Truly Pucked
by Lauren Blakely
funny
hopeful
lighthearted
fast-paced
🏒Why choose
🏒Forced proximity
🏒Romance Lessons
🏒Sweet revenge
🏒Spicy lessons
🏒Friends and rivals to lovers
I started this book at 9am and finished it at 2pm. If that’s not a sign of a great book, I don’t know what is. This is the 4th book in Lauren’s My Hockey Romance series. Like the others in the series it is a why choose romance. Briar finds love and acceptance with not one, not two, but three professional hockey players.
This was a super fun and fast-paced read. Watching Briar, Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin give into their feelings was both humorous and heartwarming. Each of them had personal issues they needed to navigate, but did so by not only doing the hard work themselves, but learning that it’s also okay to rely on other people who care about you and only want what’s best for you. They all learn that listening is just as important as doing.
Lauren does not disappoint with the witty banter amongst her well-written and well-developed characters. Every time I thought about putting this book down to take a reading break, I just kept turning the page instead. I’m sad to see this series come to an end, but she’s set us up perfectly for a new series in the hockey romance era. I can’t wait to read Wesley’s story next.
