I have to be honest here, I found this series a little frustrating. I enjoy teen/YA romances, I enjoy enemies-to-lovers, and I enjoy Penelope Douglas, but I couldn’t find myself connecting with these characters enough to earn a full 4 ⭐️s. As much as the hate-to-love theme is usually a hit for me, a lot of the supporting tropes were a bit of a drag; miscommunications, cocky teenage boys that constantly hurt or sabotaged their partners, and their respective girlfriends that forgave them with barely any groveling.
