should i feel shame for not thinking twice before giving this 5 stars? because i do NOT. i would give this 5 stars again and again and again. i’m not the type of person to always grab a book because it looks/sounds interesting. i have to think about it. i have to consider. but when i saw this on the target bookshelf, something was telling me to get it, and so i did. and i am SO GLAD that i did. i can’t remember the last time a book made me gasp, bang my head against the cover, and tear up the way i did over this one. i will be thinking about this story and its beautiful prose for the rest of the year. the characters are incredible with undeniable chemistry, the grief and emotion is palpable, and i loved every second.
