I felt like this was weak compared to The Book That Wouldn't Burn. We didn't see much of Livira, and she didn't show the same cleverness that I loved so much in the first book . A new romance was introduced (Arpix and Clovis ) that I wasn't feeling. There was also a new POV character introduced, Kelcha, who was kind of boring to me.
I felt like the character development was weak compared to the first book, and that not a lot happened plotwise. It mostly just felt like this was a setup for the finale.
I listened to the audiobook, so sorry if I spelled any names wrong.
