In Stalling For Time, (book 1) I HATED Emily's boyfriend Zach, he is arrogant, self centered, chauvinistic and just awful.
He should have been named Chad.
So to say I wasn't excited about his starring in The End Run is an understatement. And folks his personality got even worse. He's manipulative, needy and gaslights the females in his life. Nasty. Yet somehow I was engrossed and fluctuated between wanting to throat punch a fictional character and rooting for the fledgling romance. I even found myself crying in sympathy at one point, which I definitely did not see coming.
