The Garden of Small Beginnings by Abbi Waxman

4.0

This is my favorite of Abbi Waxman's books. I loved the premise of the community vegetable-gardening class and the quirky group of participants, each with a unique story of their own. Main character, Lilian, is a single mother working through grief at losing her husband three years ago. Seems a bit more thoughtful and substantive than Waxman's other books with a cast of well-developed and likeable characters.
