I like the development of the investigation and the medical field so it's a good mix! However, I feel like a lot of things were rushed and dont necessarily make sense. There were some incoherences that annoyed me. The main character was also annoying to me. I'm guessing it was the point, but I feel like I was still supposed to get attached to him or feel for him, but I didn't.
I still enjoyed reading it and the short chapters make it easy to read in one sitting. You still want to know what's gonna happen next. BUT, would I recommend it? Meh, not necessarily. Maybe to people who like small mysteries, not too complicated, or who are looking for a "mouthwash" type of book. It's not really the book l'd recommend to someone who thoroughly enjoys thrillers and mysteries.
It's a 5 book series, but I don't feel invested enough to keep going. I'll stop here for now, but who knows, maybe pick it up again some other time!
