This book was simply fantastic. The murder case was interesting, but the story is more about Mac facing the facts of his life and having to decide what he wants to do with it.

I loved that there wasn't an easy answer, that it took a lot of pain and a lot of courage for them to be where they are at the end of the book. I loved that, when push comes to shove, Tony knew what he wanted and what did he not want. And he stood by himself, bravo!

And I love that, by the end of the story, Mac had a life, not just an existence.

And the kids! I love that the kids are kids, acting accordingly to their ages ♥

Yes, it won't be easy, there will be difficulties and fights and people less than nice, but everything else will pale before the fact that now, the four of them are a family ♥
